The young firm Sigopt Inc had been early structured around building an optimization platform that could be used to run modeling and simulations (two key applications of AI tech) in a better way. With a very small SBIR footprint - winning an AFWERX SBIR project only weeks before - in late October 2020 it was announced that intel Corporation (NASDAQ: INTC) would acquire SigOpt â a San Francisco-based provider of a platform optimizing artificial intelligence (AI) software models at scale.
