In late July 2021, it was announced that Sentek had been acquired by Deloittle with the particular objective of expanding Deloitte’s presence in San Diego and to beef up its system engineering capabilities and cyber offerings to military branches and federal agencies. Sentek Global had been providing program management, integrated logistics services, systems engineering and cybersecurity to the Defense, Security and Justice sector. Acquisiton of Sentek - it was suggseted - woudl enable Deloitte to assist its clients in preventing evolving cyber threats. Previously doing business as Sentek Consulting, Inc., Sentek Global, Inc. had had limited SBIR Involvement - and that some time ago. Instead the firm provided engineering and information security services to government, defense under other forms of federal contact - as well as to commercial clients - to include command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems engineering services, such as military C4ISR system program management, enterprise C4ISR system architecture development, and maritime and land unmanned aerial surveillance; information assurance services - such as DIACAP package preparation, certification and accreditation/verification validation, network design and architecture, information security audit and assessment; support tools for information operations - and support services: training and instruction, program and project management support, strategic consulting, financial improvement, and business process reengineering and improvement services. It also provides commercial services, including information assurance services, such as security assessment and auditing, certification and accreditation, and penetration/red-team testing; managed security services, such as Internet and wide area network security, secure remote access and dual factor authentication, and business continuity planning; training and support services; and command and control systems. In addition, it offers Sentinel C4ISR suite that includes Sentinel Airport Security System to collect biometric data on airport travelers to match against a database of criminals and terrorists; Sentinel Blue Force Tracking System to assist international clients with tracking small boats for maritime interdiction operations; Sentinel Radio Interoperability System for non-compatible voice and signaling systems' users to communicate together; and Mobile Thin Client, a mobile computing solution for the U.S. Navy.
