SEICOR has developed an Automated container and cargo transfer system for enhanced strategic and tactical mobility. The firm's AutoLog technology can robotically transfer containers from a ship to a lighter or dock, anywhere in the world without dependence on local dock side container handling facilities. With that port secured, container transfers can occur at a rate of 1,000 per day. Where access to a port is denied because of military, political or geographic reasons, this same system is able to robotically offload containers to lighters in sea state 3 at the rate of 30 to 45 per hour â at night, fog or in just about any weather.
