In September 1999, HEICO Corporation acquired Santa Barbara Infrared, Inc., and it remains in business as a subsidiary of HEICO. Santa Barbara Infrared, Inc. (SBIR) designs and manufactures advanced Electro-Optic Test Equipment. SBIR is a supplier of standard and custom instrumentation for FLIR testing, IR detector testing, IR simulation and testing-sensor boresighting. SBIRs core business is divided into three segments: Standard products sold off of a published price list, build-to-print and build-to-spec.
