Originally doing business as Robotic Vision Systems, this facility became part of part of the publicly traded firm RVSI Acuity Cimatrix Inc. (OTC:RVSI). During 2005 the firm had business problems resulting in filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Later that year Siemens Energy and Automation (A&D; Atlanta, GA) completed the acquisition of the assets of RVSI Acuity CiMatrix Siemens submitted an offer for the intended purchase of the assets of RVSI Acuity CiMatrix after receiving approval from the US Bankruptcy Court. Robotic Vision Systems, Inc. had worked on automated one dimensional, two dimensional and three dimensional machine vision based products and systems for inspection, measurement and identification and related products for the semiconductor capital equipment, electronics, automotive, aerospace, pharmaceutical and other industries. The Company's products ranged from machine vision systems on a circuit board to inspection systems for bumped-wafers used in advanced semiconductor packages.
