RoseStreet Labs (RSL) was founded with intent to improve the quality of life through innovative products. The firm ventured into the semiconductor, renewable energy and life science markets with strategic investments, intellectual property development, three Joint Ventures and a successful spin out in personal health technology.. The firms first commercialization business, FlipChip International, xperienced double digit growth annually and opened its FCMS Joint Venture in Shanghai, China. Under the direction of the late Bob Forcier, the firm fabricated and tested a working PV cell coupling a silicon solar cell with a Nitride Thin Film, utilizing the same material technology as solid state lighting and blue lasers. This was seen as a major milestone in RSLEs product roadmap to achieve substantially higher solar efficiencies than standard silicon or other thin film solar cells. The firm notlong after introduced the first 3 layered solar panel that caught full solar spectrum. The firm developed and supplied semiconductor products and services for the renewable energy and semiconductor market; nitride semiconductor technology for high efficiency solar cells for terrestrial flat panel, CPV, and space applications; and technologies for biofuels/photosynthesis, and new sensor technology with photoelectrochemical cells and UV detectors (UVA, UVB, and UVC). Its products include high efficiency photovolatic cells; LED long wavelength products; ultrasonic near field communications solutions; LED long wavelength and tunable LEDs; diagnostics; microfluidics; sensors-UVA, UVB, and UVC; and technology licenses. The company also provided wafer level packaging and wafer bumpingFCI; wafer thinning and dicing, and tape/reel; 3D and system in package development-FabLab; FlipChip International center of excellence and FabLab; laboratory; and polymer laboratory services. With the death of the firm's driving force, the firm appears to have lostits forawrd momentum
