Public Profile

Developing solar PV technology to make power affordable in space, Regher is tackling addressing the problem of new-space projects that need 100X more energy at significantly lower cost than that which is currently available. Over the next few years, a demand for 100 MW of solar for space is anticipated. However, existing space solar panels are not only extremely expensive but also very slow to manufacture. With today's technology 100 MW of space solar panels would cost exceed $60B and it could take more than 10 years to manufacture. Regher Solar is structured around addressing the access to power in space with space tolerant ultrathin silicon solar panels having both high efficiency and low cost in a single light-weight and flexible package.
