PlaneEnglish is a simulator developed by three Purdue alumni in their capacity as the firm PlainEnglish LLC, designed to function as an interactive training solution for pilots to learn, practice, and master aviation phraseology and voice communication. The firm's primary solution, ARSim, leads users through radio exchanges for all phases of flight in actual airports and airspaces effectively providing a realistic learning environment that is informed and guided by the FAA and ICAO English language standards. This solution trains new pilots to meet FAA and ICAO goals of pronunciation, structure, vocabulary, and fluency.
