Orbital Sidekick (OSK) is establishing a space-based infrastructure of hyperspectral sensors designed to provide monitoring services and solutions to the energy sector and beyond. OSK platforms are tasked to take imagery of customer energy infrastructure each orbit to meet regulation and compliance needs. Data is transferred over to OSK through communication links after flyover. Spectral signatures are extracted and matched to a proprietary OSK decoder ring. Spectral Intelligence analyzes the unique chemical fingerprint of each target, thereby changing how the energy sector views regulatory compliance, leak prevention, detection, and speciation monitoring services.
