Optical Air Data Systems (OADS), LLC is (was) focused around the high power fiber-optic laser business with additional expertise in Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR). With an emphasis on rapidly advancing applications of the firm's technology from scientific discovery to hands-on working prototypes, their fiber-amplified laser technology at the 1550nm and 1064nm wavelengths was demosntarted as more efficient than conventional lasers resulting in lower power consumption, smaller size, and lower weight.
