In January of 2011, Optelecom-NKF was acquired by TKH Group. Inc Optelecom Inc manufacture broadcast quality audio/video transceivers, high speed clock and data synchronous modems, camera mount mini FM transmitters, surveillance systems and cable assemblies. Optelecom makes communications equipment for transmitting voice, data, and video. The company's high bandwidth, fiber-optic and copper-based products are used in process control, video signal transmission (including closed-circuit television), and traffic-monitoring equipment. Optelecom also sells laser systems and rotation sensing equipment such as gyro coils used in aircraft and missiles by government defense customers.
