OIS Optical Imaging Systems, Inc.,prior to the discontinuance of it's manufacturing operations on September 18, 1998, designed, developed, manufactured and marketed displays or viewing screens capable of displaying images such as text,graphics or video and electronic image processing products. Active matrix liquid crystal displays are used in military and commercial avionics. Image sensors detect and convert images into impulses and are used in fax machines and page scanners. The company provided products and services primarily to the electronic goods manufacturers and military customers. On November 11, 1998, OIS's board of directors authorized, subject to stockholder approval, the orderly liquidation of the Company's assets pursuant to a plan of liquidation and dissolution.
