Octave Photonics is a young research-driven business structured around photonic fabrication and device packaging for integrated nonlinear optics. fabricates and packages cutting-edge nonlinear nanophotonic components. Principals of the firm are working of development of supercontinuum generation waveguides that will allow 10+ GHz repetition rate frequency comb lasers to be used to calibrate astronomical spectrographs to search for exoplanets. The effort is to provide ready-to-use devices for a diverse set of applications that c/would include precision timing and navigation; generation and manipulation of laser light; ultrahigh speed signal generation and analysis; and fundamental science.
