In January 2015, Ocean Farm Technologis was merged with Ocean Spar -not an SBIR involved firm - and renamed InnovaSea Systems, Inc., With facailites in Boston and Bainbridge, WA, the new entiity is Cuna del Mar portfolio company - a Wyoming-based private equity and venture capital firm specializing in early stage investments. The firm invests in open ocean aquaculture private companies edicated to supporting open-ocean aquaculture businesses by producing innovative, environmentally-focused sustainable technologies and service solutions for the industry. InnovaSea is is developing a fully integrated open-ocean farming platform to address createion of the next generation of products for the open-ocean fish farming industry. InnovaSea has plans designed to support responsible aquaculture operations in the open ocean and using fully integrated fish farming platforms. Ocean Farm Technologies Inc. had been working on development and marketing of technology for aquaculture in exposed open ocean conditions. The firms had an exclusive license to develop and market the AquaPod containment system, but was also developing technology for feeding, cultivating, transfer and harvesting fish in open ocean systems
