In October 2012, Oak Ridge Micro-Energy, Inc., doing business in Salt Lake City, was acquired by Carbon Strategic Pte Ltd in a reverse merger transaction. In November 2014, the firm was again renamed to Oakridge Global Energy Solutions Inc (OTC:OGES) with change of address to Palm Bay, FL. Oak Ridge Micro-Energy was in the development and commercialization of the rechargeable thin-film lithium batteries for industrial, government, and medical applications in the United States used in various applications, such as wireless smart sensors that operate in harsh environments, security cards, radio frequency identification tags, semiconductor non-volatile memory chips, and implantable medical devices. Oakridge Global Energy Solutions, Inc., is also a development stage company, providing energy storage solutions though productsthat include lithium ion large format prismatic cells; small format prismatic cells; and battery modules.
