Public Profile

Nutraceutical Innovations LLC, a VIC Technology Venture Development LLC portfolio company, have developed functional and bioactive food ingredients and health supplements derived from heat-stabilized defatted rice bran. Rice bran is extraordinarily nutrient dense but the bran layer of rice cannot be easily digested by humans in a non-processed state. Research has shown that synthetic nutrients and food additives do not work as well and do not promote good health in the way that natural products can. The firm has developed an all natural production process for Rice Bran, an exceptionally nutrient rich food additive, to be produced at low cost to increase the health benefits of baked and meat-based foods. In supplement form, rice bran can combat a variety of health conditions including obesity, high blood pressure, cancer, cardiovascular disease, high cholesterol and diabetes.
