Plasma is a high temperature fluid composed of ions and electrons in a manner that they cancel, giving the fluid a neutral charge. Mankind has only recently begun to understand the physics of plasmas, which are required for development of fusion power and are increasingly being used for industrial uses including semiconductor processing and promoting specific chemical reactions.
