Public Profile
Nova Phase specializes in custom & OEM optics fabrication and crystal material development. With a full optics fabrication shop, the firm works in ELECTRO OPTIC MODULATORS: Nova Phase manufactures a line of free-space electro-optic amplitude and phase modulators. Combining experience with crystal growth and electro-optic materials to develop a line of lithium niobate modulators that offer both price and performance. The full bandwidth DC-coupled modulators are directly driven by a user-supplied RF source. Resonant frequency models use an RF tank circuit to boost the signal across the EO crystal to allow full depth of modulation from a standard low voltage function generator. Also available are polarizer mounts, 2-axis alignment mounts and high voltage amplifiers to complement the firm's modulator line. WAVEPLATES: Nova Phase has extensive experience in designing and the manufacturing of birefringent waveplates from crystalline quartz using state-of-the art fabrication equipment. Offer many options including custom retardances, sizes, coatings, air-spaced or optically contacted assemblies, and more. GLAN-STYLE POLARIZER: Nova Phase has extensive experience in designing and manufacturing Glan-style prism polarizers made from calcite. The firm's newest design, a Glan Laser polarizer, made from YVO4 has the highest damage threshold available for a prsim polarizer at 1.064um. Also make UV Rochon polarizers, Wollaston Prisms, and polarizing beam splitters. LASER BEAM EXPANDERS: Nova Phase introduces a new line of Galilean Beam Expanders for the use with Nd: Yag and CO2 high-power lasers. Each model offers diffraction-limited performance and computer-designed sets of lenses. All lens elements ranging from two to four air-spaced and coated with high efficiency antireflection coatings for minimum insertion loss. CRYSTAL GROWTH & CRYSTALINE MATERIALS: Nova Phase has extensive experience with crystalline materials including the fabrication of high quality optics as well as the development of leading technology crystal development.
