Developing advanced instrumentation and reagents for life sciences research, Norgren Systems, LLC had engaged in the manufacture of laboratory equipment for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. The firm offered GEBR DNA Gel Marker System, which incorporates a gel documentation system with an automated marking system optimizing imaging and image analysis workflow in life science laboratories; CP7200 Colony Picker, a miniaturizing and paralleling colony picker that automates resulting; and contract services, including strategic development, system engineering, and assembly and sub assembly. In December 2005, With Norgren Systems, LLC was acquired by a subsidiary of Appalachian Electronic Instruments, Inc. a WV-based engineering & contract manufacturing company, operating as subsidurary of AEI. Various key management were originally retained by the acquiring firm but havenow moved on.
