Public Profile

Newton Photonics applies advanced photonic sensing technologies to demanding problems in the medical device and life science instrumentation markets. The company combines optical design with electronic signal processing to provide products that offer paradigm-shifting performance. Current developments include a non-invasive (optical) glucose monitor with accuracy comparable to test strips and label-free SPR sensor for analysis of biomolecular interactions with 100x sensitivity advantage over the best commercial systems. Newton Photonics has developed a truly non-invasive and highly accurate glucose sensor based on light scattering technology (akin to pulse oximetry).
