Public Profile

A young start-up with ties to MIT, Neural Dynamics Technologies (NDT) designs and manufacture neural interfaces for various applications, ranging from tools for basic neurosscience research to therapeutic devices. The firm's approach is interdisciplinary approach, working closely with academics and clinicians to develop the best tools for elucidating brain function and for treating neurological disorders. Using a combination of CMOS and E-Beam microfabrication techniques, Neural Dyanmics personnel are working on creation of high-density silicon probes for recording neural activity in the brains of small animal models. The firm currently manufacture silicon probes with 64 – 1024 recording sites in any desired configuration in terms of number and width of shanks and layout of recording sites. The effort isalso to push out frontiers of biocompatibility and flexibility of probe substrates to design devices that can record various types of neural activity in the human body.
