NEA Electronics, Inc. (NEA) is a manufacturer of electro-mechanical products, specializing in the development of innovative hold down and release mechanisms for the aerospace industry. The McDonnell Douglas Space Systems Division (now part of the Boeing Company) was instrumental in the establishment of NEA when it awarded the company its first contract to design, develop, qualify, and manufacture a Trailing Umbilical System Disconnect Actuator (TDA) device for the International Space Station.
