NDRI is a research organization established to advance scientific knowledge and innovative solutions in the areas of substance abuse, HIV/AIDS, violence, special populations, therapeutic communities and the related areas of mental health, public health, criminal justice, urban problems, child abuse, prevention and epidemiology. NDRI also sponsors an AIDS outreach program and a training center for counselors in prevention and treatment of cocaine and drug abuse, alcoholism and more. The organization's website identifes them explicitly as a non-profit which would make them not SBIR-eligible.
