Public Profile
NanoTechLabs, Inc. specializes in nanomaterial and nanocomposite application development developing integrated nanomaterials primarily for military and commercial products. The firm offers nanotubes and other nanomaterials, buckeye composites' buckypaper; carbon fiber composites; non-metallic electromagnetic interference shielding and electro-static dissipation for composites, thermosets, and thermoplastics; specialty chemicals; and nanoplastics for various applications, including electromagnetic interference protection, electrostatic discharge materials, electrostatic paint substrates, lightweight thermal management materials, and conductive gaskets. A division of NTL located in Kettering, OH, was founded in 2009 to produce carbon nanotube membrane, or "Buckypaper." By incorporating the carbon nanomaterial into a membrane, surface-dominated thermal and electrical properties of composite structures can be maximized. Buckeye Composites buckypaper can be handled in continuous roll form similar to aerospace carbon fiber prepreg materials and can be treated as just another ply in the lamination process. Buckypaper is directly compatible with established autoclave and out-of-autoclave composite processing techniques, and is integrated into the composite structure by resin infusion during cure.
