NAL Research, operating as a subsidiary of Drew Marine as of Marsh 2014, provides Iridium satellite modems and Iridium tracking terminals-from design through integration-for the defense, research and commercial sectors for applications including assets tracking, search and rescue, remote sensing and command/control of both ground and airborne platforms. NAL Research has experience in research and development of optical-based sensors at the ultraviolet, visible and near-infrared wavelengths such as laser-Doppler velocimeters, spectrometers, lidar and differential absorption lidar.
