In February 2018 Mobius Medical Systems LP ("MMS") was acquired by Varian Medical Systems. MMS is a biotechnology and software company that develops quality assurance (QA) software for the radiation oncology community. MMS products include DoseLab, the most widely used TG-142 software and Mobius3D, the first 3D solution for patient plan and delivery QA. Mobius3D provides a three-dimensional secondary check of treatment plans created on commercial treatment planning systems using an independently developed collapsed cone convolution superposition algorithm and the patient's planning CT. The MobiusFX module in Mobius3D utilizes treatment log files from Varian and Elekta linear accelerators to perform patient specific QA for IMRT and VMAT treatments in as little as one minute.
