Specializing in metalorganic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) growth of semiconductor structures for use in wireless communications devices and in the growth and fabrication of advanced solar cells for space, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), and terrestrial use. MicroLink Devices is an epi-wafer company providing specialized substrates to various customers (mostly chip manufacturers). Customers request specially designed layer stacks to be deposited on various substrates. These wafers, also known as "epi-wafers," are then fabricated into commercial devices, used as various critical components in the high-speed communication industry. These are used in microwave and optical communication products. Current product line is used in the manufacture of heterojunction bipolar transistors (HBTs). Microlink also manufactures solar cells and solar sheets for a variety of applications including powering unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), spacecraft, and terrestrial collectors. The high-efficiency, single- and multi-junction GaAs-based solar cells are manufactured using MicroLinks proprietary epitaxial lift-off (ELO) technology, in which the solar cell structure is removed from the substrate on which it is grown.
