Recently (2019) indicated as 'Permanently Closed" Lumenari had been an advanced materials discovery company (originally dba EIE Materials) founded in Silicon Valley, subsequently operating in Lexington, KY and organized around development of novel materials that enable new applications and facilitate new device architectures. The firm's team included highly experienced PhD-level solid-state chemists and physicists having developed an effective and proprietary method for rapid identification of new phosphor materials by intersecting supercomputing with experimentation. From its founding, Lumenari focused on solving one of the most challenging and impactful problems in LEDs: narrow-band phosphor development. In addition to continuing this pursuit, the company leveraged its diverse and deep expertise in solid-state chemistry and physics to develop new advanced materials technologies.
