The first product launched by Little Sparrows Technologies is the Bili-Hutâ¢, a low-cost, portable, battery-operable a product that has already received numerous awards and designations from such organizations as the Gates Foundation and USAID. Over 8% of newborns suffer from neonatal jaundice severe enough to require phototherapy to avoid dangerous complications. Despite the common and easily treatable nature of the disorder, phototherapy devices are unavailable to 40% of the worlds newborns. Little Sparrows' device, called the Billi-Hut, is low-cost, portable, and off-grid.
