With initial focus on the oil and gas water management problem, Katz Water Technologies organizes around engaging the firm's ability to purify water using streamlined simplified equipment that can utilize waste energy employing patent pending modifications that can create a multi-effect distillation system inside the vertical runs of the heat exchanger. Separation is achieved through a series of multiple alternative flow paths that allows gravity to naturally separate the purified vapor from the dense contaminates through the engineered multiple flow paths. Vapor condensation can be performed inside the modified heat exchanger or in a pre-warmer heat exchanger to recapture the heat energy to the feedstock water to be purified. In addition, wellhead heat or filtering heat can be used to pre-warm the feed water to improve the efficiency. The key differentiator of this technology is being the only known technology able to purify produced water inside streamlined equipment that combines a gas burner with a modified heat exchanger.
