Jema Technologies (a.k.a. Jema Science) is to develop high-impact commercial devices from cutting edge technologies developed at Universities and National Laboratories. They have several product-oriented research programs in progress, such as Smart Combinatorial Research Equipment for automatic x-ray tests at synchrotron light source facilities and a modeling software tool for predictive and real-time analysis of x-ray data and carbon nanoliber supercapacitors for energy storage. Their research is based on accelerator-based light sources of intense, tightly focused beams of x rays and ultraviolet radiation and infrared, that make possible both basic and applied research in fields from physics and biology to technology that are not possible with conventional equipment. Additionally, they are currently involved in two areas for renewable energy research. 1) Organic photovoltaic solar cells technologies. 2) Energy storage and battery technologies.
