Public Profile
In August 2013, IQ Engines, Inc. was acquired by Yahoo! Inc. IQ Engines, Inc. operates an image recognition engine that recognizes and labels photos, and monetizes images by matching them to relevant retailers, and advertisers or Web photo publishers. Its products and services enable to submit images taken on mobile device with the Application to the company's image labeling services. The company's image labeling services then return a label or identification tag for submitted image query back to the Application. Its products and services are also used for mobile visual search, such as turning customers' Internet-connected camera into a mobile search tool for finding information with a single snapshot; photo hosts, including monetizing photos through image search, contextual advertising, search engine optimization, objectionable content filtering, and user statistics; and image intelligence applications through an API interface for retailers, photo hosts, and mobile phone manufacturers.
