With personnel having close ties to University of Georgia, Innoveta Biomedical LLC is structured around the development of novel biomaterials that combat unwanted thrombus formation and infection with an emphasis on development of coatings for medical device coatings. The work involves designing innovative NO release formulations and testing them in animal models has resulted in multiple publications and patent applications. With principals and founders having experience in biomolecular interactions (Atomic Force Microscope), materials/surface science, polymeric coatings, blood-surface interactions and animal models, the goal is to bridge the gap between the engineers and clinical researchers in the field of biocompatible materials.
