Nanovision has developed a nano-scale retinal implant designed to restore vision to those afflicted with certain retinal diseases. The firm's research group is however also structured around development of technologies for future generations of its retinal prosthesis and for non-biological applications such as night-vision and low-light imagers. To these latter indicators, the firm's new NIR/SWIR sensor is reported as outperforming all existing APD type sensors with management reporting a focus on the automotive Industry while also noting this new technology is applicable to multiple markets and use cases (not reported on).
