In October 2009, Herbst Research Inc filed for bankruptcy and closed. Herbst Research, Inc. is a biomedical engineering and electronics company, which develops methods and devices for both diagnostics and treatment, utilizing interactions of electric fields with living systems. We are specializing in miniaturized timing and control systems on a chip (SoC) for biomedical, instrumentation, and precision control applications. Some current areas of interest include: adaptive electrical stimulation based on conditions prevailing in the tissue, automatic control of drug delivery systems, microfluidic devices, and non-linear process control, e.g., of flow, pressure, temperature, pH.
