With several robot-related projects already completed in other setting, the founders of Hello Robot Robotics look to the time when intelligent robots may provide safe and reliable assistance to humans for a variety of everyday tasks. Previous research project undertaken by theHello Robot team have include the human-like qualities - compliant arm, motion recognition, and force-sensing abilities - all serving to make the robot adaptable to new environments and conditions. That adaptability - it is suggested - is critical for taking robots to the stage that they can assist people with housework, manufacturing, healthcare, and assistance for the elderly and the handicapped and perhaps use in the agricultural wsetting and to undertake tasks performed in space.
