In October 2008, HealthMedia, Inc. became a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson. HealthMedia has developed a methodology and technology that effectively emulates a health coaching session, without the coach. The firm's programs support scalability of web content and deliver the efficacious outcomes a health coaching program receives. Programs increase compliance, reduce medical utilization, and boost productivityimproving profitability for health plans, employers, pharmaceutical firms, and behavioral health organizations. HealthMedias products are backed by 30+ years of behavioral science research born out of the Health Media Research Laboratory (HMRL) at the University of Michigan. The HMRL provides ongoing research for HealthMedia, and in turn we build commercial web interventions that are science-based, and deliver proven, measurable outcomes.
