GraceFall is developing a wearable device designed to detect unintentional loss of balance and falls before they occur ... and, thereby, protect the user from injury. Using the firm's patent pending sensor-fusion technology, the approach is to combine brain and muscle signals with accelerometer data, to trigger micro-airbags in order to prevent fall-injuries among the elderly and others. GraceFall is looking for seed funding to accelerate the development and commercialize the device.
