Public Profile
Generation 2 Materials Technology LLC (G2MT) provides a method for materials condition assessment of many high-value materials and systems in multiple industry markets; including oil and gas, nuclear, coal, renewable energies, refineries, welding and joining among many more. By using a combination of proprietary technologies and advanced metallurgical tools, the firm analyzes and develops measurement systems enabling assessment of crucial materials parameters, such as residual stress, hydrogen (interstitial contents), aging, damage, and more. This improvement will fundamentally alter the way industrial materials are assessed and used, especially the ways that fabrication, maintenance, and quality assurance are performed. For many industrial materials, such as titanium or steel, fabrication and operating practices must be strictly followed to retain desired properties such as strength or corrosion resistance. Existing practices for determination and monitoring of the properties of industrial materials to ensure performance and safety are decades old and often only minimally effective.
