Structured around working on high performance digital pulse compression radars, General Radar Corporation has developed three innovations (Serdes Sampling, Monobit Digital Pulse Compression, Analog mmW Beamformers) which are allowing the Genera Radar Corporation aggressively to cost-reduce an Aerospace radar by 20x. Reference as "revolutionizing autonomous vision systems for vehicles and robotics", to demonstrate the firm's performance gains, a complete long-range X-band radar system has beenbuilt with a tracking antenna with monopulse feeds and electro-optical assist. The firm's demonstrator contains a second internal backend capable of emulating legacy radar systems to demonstrate A/B performance improvements. A key enhancement this approach brings to legacy radar systems is anability to identify and classify targets at range using what is called a Second Sight⢠system
