GDC Industries personnel have specialist expertise in ferrous metal smelting and refining now organized around development of engineered and tailored metal carbon alloys called covetic. Covetics is a hybrid that fuses nanocarbons with different kinds of metals such as aluminum, copper, silver, and gold—the end-product of which are numerous enhanced metal properties, including conduction of heat and electricity more efficiently than conventional metal alloys. Metals do not ordinarily bind well with carbon. The ability permanently to exploit the advantages of carbon (increased strength and conductivity) has long time eluded the metal industry. Using a unique process, GDC Industries is able to irreversibly bind carbon to metal enabling the enhancement of a wide range of properties, even upon recycling.
