Public Profile
325414 A CalTech spinout, Trans Membrane BioScience (formerly known as G-Ceptor) is focused to recombitant overexpression system. The technology is a set of new methods for creating and growing genetically engineered organisms that over-express membrane proteins. This technique offers a far more efficient method of generating the quantities that large pharmaceutical companies desire. Pharmaceutical companies need to quickly identify drug candidates that are less likely to fail in clinical trials, and more likely to improve significantly on existing treatments - therefore gaining market acceptance.
