Public Profile

ExoTerra Resource LLC was formed with the vision of making space access affordable to everyone through the use of gravity reducing infrastructures. Long term, the company hopes to become a leading space “utility” company, providing analogs to terrestrial power, fuel, transportation, housing, and waste management services. In order to make this vision a reality, ExoTerra is working on a variety of projects. The first, SolRider, is a microsatellite that uses solar electric propulsion to reduce the cost of interplanetary exploration from $100M - $1B to a much more affordable 5M - $25M. This will not only allow space agencies to be able to visit more places or perform missions with networks of satellites, but now universities can perform their own research; private individuals can experience the thrill of their own space mission; and projects can be funded using crowd-sourcing technologies. Using SolRider, universities can send student developed payloads to other planets or asteroids, providing unique, hands-on learning opportunities and the freedom to choose their own research objectives. The company is working to develop systems to extract, refine and deliver lunar water to serve as a propellant for the cis-lunar system. Lastly, the company is working to develop systems to extract, refine and deliver lunar water to serve as a propellant for the cis-lunar system.
