Eternal Systems is a spinout of University of California - Santa Barbara. Based upon more than 25 years of research and development in the areas of transparent high-availability and fault-tolerant computing, specific market requirements were identified and Eternal Systems was formed to address this need. Software professionals have been experiencing an increasing demand to provide high availability and fault-tolerant operation for a growing number of applications where failure would be costly or catastrophic. Until now, implementing high availability and true fault tolerance has been a custom, costly and time consuming effort, requiring specialized knowledge and programming skills. Prevailing pressure to do more in-house development with fewer personnel only further complicated the problem.
