From start-up through mid-1990s, the major part of the firm's business addressed military and related applications: design and manufacture of critical foam components for reconnaissance satellites, nuclear weapons, ICBMs, and other aerospace systems. By the mid nineties, the firm's advanced design and manufacturing technologies broadened its scope to address commercial, scientific, and non-classified military applications with - in 2017 - addition of another facility for manufactring operations in Sparks, NV. Today the firm is producing foamed metals, carbons, and ceramics for the aerospace, defense, semiconductor manufacturing, biomedical, and scientific industries
