Epolin Inc merged with Polymathes Holdings LLC in March 2012. The company is a specialized chemical company engaged in the manufacturing, marketing, research and development of dyes and dye formulations which are used for a wide variety of products such as laser protection, welding visors, sunglasses, optical filters, glazing and imaging and security inks. The dyes are sold as pure, crystalline, powders or as formulations or mixtures of dyes. These formulations block a wider segment of the spectrum than any single pure dye can do. They are also sold as compositions in plastics and resins as well as liquid compositions used in ink applications and for coating surfaces. Headquartered in New Jersey, they also have offices in the Netherlands, in Japan and in China. In 2012, they were acquired by Polymathes Holdings, LLC, and now operate as a subsidiary.
