Anchored in and employing technology developed in the laboratory of one of the Founders - , assistant professor at the UNC (University of North Carolina) Eshelman School of Pharmacy - Epigenos Biosciences is developing dCas9 Chemical Epigenetic Modifiers (CEM)-based therapies for cancer and rare diseases. Principals of the firm have developed a new platform technology reversibly to use endogehnous cellular machinery to activate (or repress) any gene using novel bifunctional molecule sets. The core technology allows epigenetic sculpting with CEMs and is dose dependent and reversible.
