Environmental Optical Sensors works in development, manufacture and marketing of ultra-coherent laser diodes. Plan: to build sensor systems based on these lasers to monitor atmospheric pollutants, to measure corrosion, to monitor cardiac blood flow and chemical changes in the blood and to monitor chemical contamination in potable water.Company will produce coherent laser diodes and sensors based on them. Firm currently manufactures the only continuously tunable external cavity laser diode with replaceable modules. Each module consists of a laser diode with a thermoelectric cooler and a collimating lens which can be inserted into any cavity we manufacture. Have laser diode modules from 635nm to 2000nm. Lasers are antireflection coated in our own lab using a special coating chamber we developed. Thus coated, reflection on the laser diode facet facing the grating is typically less than .001 %. The firm is also working on a series of cigarette pack-size frequency reference standards which should have absolute stabilities to better than one part in 1550
