Public Profile

Part of DynaVox Technologies, the Enkidu Labs team is dedicated to researching new options to increase the rate of communication for augmented communicators and to further enhance the learning experience for students at all levels. Driven by the desire to make excellent products even better, the people of Enkidu Labs work with speech, language and education professionals to research cutting-edge ideas and theories. The results of this research are then incorporated into DynaVox Technologies and Mayer-Johnson products. Enkidu Research was founded with the goal of researching and developing state-of-the-art augmentative communication systems with an emphasis on flexibility. Headquartered in Spencerport, New York, Enkidu Research maintained very close ties with Dr. Jeff Higginbotham's Communication and Assistive Device Laboratory at the State University of New York at Buffalo. In January 2004, DynaVox Systems acquired Enkidu Research and Enkidu Labs was born. A dedicated group of researchers, the Enkidu Labs team is part of the research and development group at DynaVox Technologies. With a sharp focus on clinical and applied research, the Enkidu Labs team provides valuable input to ensure that the current and future AAC solutions better meet the unique needs of augmented communicators and their care teams.
