Enduralock offers basic mechanical building blocks for the construction of a space infrastructure: a permanently locking fastener that is highly vibration-resistant and unaffected by the harshness of space, paired with the first mechanically locking nut plate that will engage an off-axis bolt and self-align for robotic construction in space. Enduralock fasteners are indicated as ideal for critical applications, as the fasteners remain locked even with total loss of preload (clamping force). Enduralock fasteners survived 10x the aerospace requirement for a self-locking nut, and reusability has been demonstrated to 250 cycles. The firm's fasteners eliminate the need for safety wire, castle nuts, or adhesives, and a key attribute is that they reduce the time and cost of installation and maintenance. The firm is indicated as having recently been awarded a $1.8 million Tactical Add-On Funding Increase Contract in conjunction with the United States Air Force. Management further indicate that this funding will allow/enable - is allowing - the firm to continue their efforts in development of the End-Effector for robotic installation of the firm's miniaturized Silver Lock Fastener for in-space assembly and missile applications.
